Thanks to today’s technology, I have a rare opportunity: I can work from anywhere in the world! I currently reside in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where I’m employed as a Student Advisor and Financial Aid Officer Assistant. I’m fortunate to be able to do my job remotely!! This means I can dedicate myself fully to volunteering abroad while still working my regular job to cover my expenses at home—rent, car insurance etc.

Here is the problem that keeps breaking me

  • I have the time.
  • I have the energy.
  • I have the skills.
  • I have the commitment.
  • I have the willingness.
  • I have the heart.
  • I have the courage.

But I don’t have the funds.

And it hurts so bad because the children are there, waiting for help, eager to learn.

And I’m here, ready to go — but unable to afford the price of simply showing up.

It’s a painful kind of helplessness. To want to give everything… and have money be the thing that stops you.

It feels so unfair that there are children who need support, and adults who are ready to help, but money stands between us like a locked door.

The costs of volunteering abroad is overwhelming.

Flights alone are expensive.
Accommodation, food, transportation, insurance, and program fees pile up so fast it feels suffocating.

WILL YOU BE MY SPONSOR

My next volunteer trip is to South Africa, where I will work directly with PMGY(Plan My Gap Year) a placement that directly supports children who have limited access to quality education. In South Africa schools are deeply under-resourced. Classrooms are overcrowded, teachers are stretched thin, and students outside major cities often go years without receiving the focused language instruction they desperately need.

This trip is not for adventure, not for travel, not for pictures — it's because I feel called to help children who need support, encouragement, and someone who believes in them. I want to teach English to kids who can benefit so much from even the simplest lessons from a native speaker.

The total cost of this mission is approximately $7,500, which covers program fees, travel, stay, food and basic needs. While I can manage my own living expenses back home in Toronto, thanks to my remote work, I still cannot afford the cost of volunteering on my own.

I’m not looking for a large pot of small donations—though every act of kindness means the world to me. What I’m seeking is something more intentional, more direct, and more impactful: true sponsors—individuals or organizations who want to fund an entire trip or a major portion of it.

This approach isn’t just better for the mission—it’s better for you. You’ll know exactly where your support is going.

  • There’s no middleman.
  • No vague impact.
  • No guessing.
Tier Impact
Full Trip Sponsor Covers the entire cost of the volunteer program, including flights, accommodation, food, travel insurance, and program fees. Supports all activities, including child protection, animal rescue, and community care.
Flight & Travel Insurance Sponsor Covers round-trip airfare and travel/health insurance, ensuring I can safely reach South Africa and participate in the mission without personal financial risk.
Accommodation & Food Sponsor Covers lodging and meals for the entire duration of the volunteer program, providing safe housing and nourishment while I dedicate myself fully to the mission.

What I'll be doing

  • Teaching English
  • Tutoring students one-on-one or in small groups

  • Supporting lessons in music, math, geography, and arts

  • Helping with lesson planning and creative educational activities

This kind of hands-on support seems small, but for a child who has never had consistent access to a fluent English speaker—or a teacher who finally has an extra pair of hands—it can be life-changing. Whether inside the classroom or in community workshops, every moment is an opportunity to empower a child who is eager to learn but hasn’t always had the chance.

After Africa?

  • Vietnam

  • Peru

  • Indonesia

  • Costa Rica

  • These places welcome native English speakers.

They welcome people who care. They welcome volunteers who are willing to give their time, even without formal teaching history, because the need is real and ongoing.

I want to dedicate my life — my time, my energy, my heart — to helping in these programs.

This is why I’m reaching out — vulnerably, honestly, and with more humility than I’ve ever felt.

Your support would go to

  • Flights
  • Safe housing

  • Meals

  • Program costs

  • Transportation

  • Travel insurance

  • The basic necessities that allow me to volunteer

  • If you’ve ever believed in doing good…
  • If you’ve ever wished you could help someone help others…
  • If you’ve ever felt that pull in your chest to make the world a little kinder…

Support me!

I’m asking for support not for luxury, not for comfort, but simply for the chance to be there. To stand in front of a classroom. To help a child pronounce a new word. To support a student who feels left behind. To show up where I’m needed.

The sadness of this world keeps me up at night

I’ve spent countless days and nights, tears streaming down my face, my heart unbearably heavy as I think about the children who suffer without protection, the animals who endure unimaginable cruelty and neglect, and the communities fighting every single day just to survive. It sits on my chest like a weight I can’t put down—just knowing that while I sleep in safety, somewhere a child is dying, an animal is being abused for no reason at all, a family is struggling because they are deprived of the basic necessities to live. The sadness of this world doesn’t just trouble me… it keeps me awake, night after night, im unable to look away from the truth of it.

  • I refuse to stand by and watch when I know I can help.
  • I refuse to turn away from their pain as if it isn’t real.
  • I refuse to let their suffering be invisible, forgotten, or dismissed.
  • I refuse to silence the voice inside me screaming, “Do something.”
  • I refuse to let hopelessness win.
  • I am choosing not to be a bystander.
  • I am choosing to show up

If I don’t—if we don’t—who will?

WHY SPONSOR ME?

  • Impact You Can See: Unlike abstract charities, your money will fund a direct and specific mission with measurable outcomes.
  • Passionate Commitment: I will dedicate myself fully, working long hours and providing tangible support on the ground.

  • Shared Vision: You provide the resources; I provide the time, sweat, and heart. Together, we create change.

LETS PARTNER UP!
